Steps
1. Log in to IceWarp Administration Console
- Open your web browser and go to the IceWarp Administration Console.
- Enter your admin credentials to log in.
2. Accessing the Anti-Spam Settings
- Once logged in, navigate to ‘System’ in the left-side menu.
- Click on ‘Security’ and then select ‘Anti-Spam’.
3. Whitelisting a Domain
To whitelist a domain, follow these steps:
- In the Anti-Spam section, click on the ‘Whitelist’ tab.
- Click on ‘Add’ to include a new entry.
- Enter the domain you want to whitelist, for example: mailservers.xyz
- Set the action for the whitelisted domain:
- Choose ‘Always Allow’ if you want to fully trust the domain without filtering.
- Save the changes by clicking ‘OK’ or ‘Apply’.
4. Whitelisting an IP Address
To whitelist an IP address:
- Still in the ‘Anti-Spam’ settings, go to the ‘IP Whitelist’ tab.
- Click on ‘Add’ to include a new IP address.
- Enter the IP address or IP range you wish to whitelist, for example:
51.15.191.190
- Set the action to ‘Always Allow’ to fully trust the IP address.
- Save your settings by clicking ‘OK’ or ‘Apply’.
5. Managing the Whitelist
To manage the whitelisted entries:
- In both the ‘Domain Whitelist’ and ‘IP Whitelist’ tabs, you can view, edit, or delete any entries by selecting them and choosing the appropriate action.
- Regularly review your whitelist to ensure that only trusted domains and IPs are allowed.
6. Additional Security Measures
While whitelisting helps in preventing false positives, it’s essential to:
- Combine whitelisting with other security measures like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for enhanced email security.
- Regularly review and update your whitelist to avoid potential security risks.
