What is Template ?

< 1 min read

Templates in PhishGrid are foundational tools used in cybersecurity awareness training, aimed at preparing organizations to defend against social engineering attacks. These templates are designed to simulate real-life threats in a controlled environment, helping employees recognize and respond to malicious attempts. PhishGrid offers two main types of templates: phishing and vishing templates, each serving a unique purpose in cybersecurity training.

Phishing Templates

Phishing templates simulate email-based attacks, one of the most common vectors used by attackers to breach organizational defenses. These templates replicate various phishing scenarios, from generic emails containing malicious links to highly targeted spear-phishing attacks aimed at specific individuals or departments.

Vishing Templates

Vishing templates, on the other hand, focus on voice phishing or “vishing” attacks. These simulate malicious phone calls aiming to trick employees into divulging sensitive information. Vishing is a direct and often personal form of attack, making it a critical area for security training.
